The hotel had an exceptional location an easy walk to Monument to Alfonso Ix. Moreover, it was just off th parador which sits on a great spot on the laguna over looking the atlantic coast line, the Atlantic ocean and the seaside.

It is one of the most beautiful hotels in one of the most beautiful towns in Spain. It is situated in a charming castle overlooking the harbour and gorgeous beaches of Bayona. .

Large, attractive room; beautiful setting; full amenities; nice restaurant
Air conditioning was very weak so the room was too hot - otherwise everything would have been perfect

The hotel was a relaxing & very peaceful place to be with magnificent views. The only reason we have marked down services and facilities is that the wonderfully positioned swimming pool on a sunny afternoon was not staffed and we could not get towels or loungers when we asked at reception - we were just told it was not possible until Sunday (we asked on Thursday!) They also seemed to be having some problems with breakfast staff - but we trust all staffing problems were temporary.

amazing hotel, lovely pathway around the fortifications, fine views from the bar terrace
Noise levels were disruptive at times!!! It would be better if there were clearer communication regarding room allocations!!!

The location in gorgeus, services very good, it would be better if personell would speak better english. Food was excelent, and the entire area is very well preserved.

Proximity to town. Historical nature. Beautiful views.
Yes. They said they only had 7 double rooms in the whole hotel which is quite ridiculous. I will make my complaint separately regarding this. Both dinner in the restaurant and a snack in the cafe were substandard for a hotel of this supposed quality. This is not an international hotel- nobody understood or could speak English to an adequate level. The pool was outside but unheated, therefore cold.

The location, one of the best
The staff was not friendly, not professional. The food was not at the level of the hotel. For the first time in our life, we had to make a list of 10 complaints that we discussed at the end of our 7days holidays with the hotel manager. He accepted, was aware, and presented his appologies. You should visit this Parador, but not stay in it. It's to expensif (price/quality ratio is not ok). This is rather a touristic attraction but not a place to spend your holiday.

Stunning views, good food and wine, enormous breakfast.
Rooms very small considering the hotel is huge and no balcony to enjoy the view of the bay. Some rooms have no view at all - beware!

The location. Beautiful sea view. Very nice architect. Quiet and relax atmosphere. Since many previous reviewers complained about the service, it seemed that they have been working on the part.
The room was too simple for the price. No view unless you have to pay high extra. Small uncomfortable beds. Only the bathroom was nice and spaious. Too far to get to the rooms from the public area. I would only return if the price was much lower.

The thing that I like most is the great view from the hotel since it is build on top of a hill. Walking around the hotel compound is breathtaking. The interior of the hotel and the hearty breakfast are also the unique selling points of the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to people visiting Biona.
Wifi is only available in the public area not in the room.
